Having grown up under the tutelage of his father, Mark Sherry, a well-respected workers’ compensation attorney, Brett learned at an early age that a truly rewarding legal career starts with hard work, dedication, and helping others. This lesson is what led Brett to become a zealous advocate for his clients, fighting for their rights and maximizing the results of each and every case. Brett has always believed in connecting with his clients in order to understand their needs fully and that such a relationship is built upon communication and making himself available to his clients.
A Southern California native, Brett was born in Santa Monica and raised in Orange County in a beautiful city called Rancho Santa Margarita. Brett attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science in 2010. He later received his J.D. from the University of Glendale College of Law in 2018.
In his free time, Brett loves being around family and friends and rooting for his favorite sports teams: the Lakers, Dodgers, and Rams. Brett also likes going to the beach, golfing, playing basketball, and enjoying many other outdoor activities.
Dedicated to his craft, Brett’s focus is not only on winning cases but, more importantly, finding a way to better the lives of his clients and their families. Brett feels the joy from this profession, which comes in the form of gratitude and appreciation his clients bestow on him, whose circumstances have improved due to his help.
All of the firm’s partners are certified as specialists in workers’ compensation law through the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Work injury claims are the exclusive focus of our firm except for Social Security Disability claims, which often pick up where workers’ comp ends.

File your Van Nuys
WORKERS’
COMPENSATION CLAIM
You need to report your California work injury as soon as possible. In general, California workers have 30 days to report their on-the-job injury or illness to their employer. Failing to report an injury or illness within this 30-day timeline could result in the injury victim’s inability to recover workers’ compensation benefits in California.
Additionally, employees need to be aware of the workers’ compensation claim statute of limitations in California. If you fail to file an Application for Adjudication of Claim within one year of becoming aware of your injury or illness, you may lose your right to file an injury claim and miss the opportunity to secure compensation for your medical expenses and lost wages.
